Investcorp continues to support the Bahrain Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program through ten-year commitment

Investcorp today announced its commitment to support the Bahrain Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) over the next ten years with a sponsorship of BD 1 million.

The announcement came during a ceremony held at Investcorp House in Manama, where Executive Chairman Mohammed Alardhi hosted a delegation from CPISP led by His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Advisor for Political and Economic Affairs at the Court of the Crown Prince, Board Member and Head of the Financial and Administrative Committee of CPISP.

Commenting on the partnership, Mohammed Alardhi, Executive Chairman said, “Investcorp is committed to enriching the lives of future generations and we believe that education is at the core of this. Bahrain is the birthplace of our firm and has offered us exceptional support over four decades. Investing in human capital has always been a key driver of strategic development for Bahrain’s leadership and it has allowed the Kingdom to have an exceptional generational pool of talent. We are proud of our partnership with the CPISP and we salute their noble cause and exceptional efforts”.

“We greatly appreciate the role that CPISP plays in providing top educational scholarship opportunities to young outstanding Bahraini students. In fact, a number of our staff members at Investcorp graduated from world class universities with the support of CPISP and we have seen first-hand how crucial such education-based initiatives are to the development and future success of the country,” he added.

HE Shaikh Mohammed thanked Investcorp for its strong support, noting that sponsors contribute towards the program’s objectives of helping prepare exceptional students for the jobs of the future. He said: “We deeply appreciate Investcorp’s long-term commitment to CPISP and Bahrain. Our national pool of talent anchors Bahrain’s position as a regional financial services hub and complements our regulatory system.”

CPISP was established in 1999 by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Program is privately funded by HRH Prince Salman and various local and international sponsoring organizations and individuals who share HRH’s vision of equipping outstanding young Bahrainis with the necessary tools to excel and achieve their aspirations and contribute to the building of a modern Bahraini state.
