Investcorp, a leading global alternative investment firm, today hosted the Investcorp Alternatives Forum at the Kanoo Museum in Bahrain, bringing together the firm’s senior executives, clients and industry experts. The Forum provided a platform for exchanging perspectives on key trends shaping investor priorities, portfolio construction and opportunities across global markets.

Discussions explored a range of themes relevant to investors navigating today’s market environment, including the resilience of economic fundamentals, perspectives on the outlook for the U.S. economy, the growing importance of Infrastructure as an asset class, and opportunities emerging across global markets. Participants also discussed how investors are adapting portfolio strategies in response to changing market conditions and increasing their exposure to alternative investments.

Sessions focused on the evolving drivers of value creation in Private Equity, the role of Infrastructure as an asset class to help deliver resilient long-term returns, and the increasing importance of private markets assets within diversified portfolios. Speakers discussed how active ownership, operational improvement and technology are helping to shape investment outcomes, and also highlighted increasing opportunities across infrastructure, private equity and broader private markets.

Mohammed Alardhi, Executive Chairman of Investcorp, said: “The Investcorp Alternatives Forum at the Kanoo Museum reflects our commitment to sharing knowledge with our clients and industry leaders and exchanging perspectives on the forces shaping global markets. These discussions reinforce the importance of maintaining a long-term perspective and focusing on the fundamental drivers of value creation. As a global firm, we continue to see compelling opportunities across alternative asset classes and believe active dialogue remains essential as investors navigate an increasingly complex investment landscape.”

Yusef Al Yusef, Global Head of Distribution at Investcorp, said: “The conversations throughout the Forum reflected many of the themes we are hearing from clients across the region, including a growing focus on diversification, portfolio resilience and access to global investment opportunities. There was particular interest in how investors are approaching private markets, infrastructure and other alternative asset classes as they position portfolios for the years ahead. Holding the Forum at the Kanoo Museum reflects Investcorp’s longstanding relationship with leading family businesses across the Gulf, a relationship we deeply value and which has continued across generations since Investcorp’s inception.”

The Forum also featured a panel with Rishi Kapoor, Vice Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Investcorp, exploring family investment priorities, asset allocation and the role of private markets. A fireside chat with Dr. Faisal Kanoo examined the Kanoo family’s experience across seven generations, including wealth preservation, governance and succession.
