Scott Humphrey is a seasoned financial executive and social justice advocate, spending the first chapter of his professional life as an investment banker in New York and Chicago and the second chapter in the non-profit arena. Currently, he advises and invests in early-stage companies seeking to balance financial and social impact returns. Scott has built an expansive, 27-year career driving strategic and operational excellence from global leadership and board-level positions.

Broadly experienced across a wide range of industries, he leverages his extensive professional network, financial expertise, and business acumen to affect transformational change at the board and strategic level. Skilled in areas such as corporate governance, M&A, restructuring, change management, and corporate strategy, Scott understands how to quickly identify innovative, sustainable solutions to complex business challenges and facilitate major growth and turnarounds. He has demonstrated experience in attracting, developing, and retaining top performing talent in support of global operations. With passionate and insightful leadership, he brings a unique perspective to the board room, commanding a strong work ethic, experience-based judgement, and integrity to advise public and private companies in areas such as corporate strategy, M&A, finance/accounting, and operational excellence.

Scott serves on the board of directors of Heska Corporation (Nasdaq: HSKA) where he is Lead Director, as well as the advisory boards of privately-held Bredan, Inc., Clariti Strategic Advisors Inc. and Age@Home. He is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).

In the non-profit arena, Scott sits on the boards of the Lake County Community Foundation and Nexus Youth and Family Services and serves on the President’s Council for Kids Above All.

Scott has a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University.
