Philip Walters joined Investcorp as an Advisory Director in 2014. He has over forty years’ experience of the global educational market place.

Philip is currently on the board of Impero Software, part of the Investcorp Technology Fund’s portfolio, and Chair of EdComs, the UK’s leading agency business in the educational sector.  He was the Chairman the GL Education Group and Chair of the independent educational publisher, Rising Stars, and of CABI, a not-for-profit international organization that improves lives by solving problems in agriculture and the environment. He was also a non-executive Director of Encyclopaedia Britannica (London), of Nelson Croom, the leading supplier of online training and assessment for UK professional bodies, and Scottish Book Source, the leading book distributor for Scottish publishers,

Philip was formerly Chief Executive of Hodder Education, the second largest secondary school publisher in the UK. He was awarded an MBE in 2010 for services to educational publishing.
