Kris Haber is CEO and Founder of Vega Partners, a boutique investment business focused on sourcing and developing targeted investments and merchant banking opportunities in early and growth stage businesses, globally for its own balance sheet and its partners. He is also the Lead Operating Partner, GP Development in the Strategic Capital Group, based in New York.

Kris has managed teams, designed, and developed new investment strategies and collaboratively built and maintained a variety of successful businesses. He has been responsible for both strategic positioning and development of a variety of alternative investments. His background combines private equity, alternative investments, credit, and real estate strategies.

Earlier in his career, Kris was Chairman and COO of Safanad, as well as a member of Safanad’s management and investment committees. Prior to that, he held the position of COO and Partner at Advent Capital Management. Kris also acted as President of Threadneedle Investments North America and held various roles at Lazard Asset Management, where he spent approximately 14 years, and became Head of Alternative Investments.

Kris holds a B.A. from the College of William and Mary.
