Jonathan Dracos is the Global Head of Real Estate at Investcorp, leading investment teams in North America, Europe and India. He is a member of the Firm’s Operating Committee and he serves on the Risk Committee and the Financial & Risk Management Committee.
Jonathan joined Investcorp in 1995 and he was appointed Head of Real Estate Investment in 2009. During his time at Investcorp, he has led the growth of the Real Estate business to be a consistent leader among foreign real estate investors. Real Estate assets under management have nearly doubled in the last three years. Investcorp has regularly been the largest Private Gulf real estate investor in the United States and has been a top foreign real estate investor in the United States for the last ten years. Jonathan has also led an expansion in products and geography. Investcorp real estate is now actively investing in Europe with a strong growth mandate for that business. Investcorp also has established an investing business in larger, more institutional assets known as “Club” investing. Additional institutional products are under development.
Before Investcorp, Jonathan was on the Executive Committee of the $1.2 billion George Soros Quantum Realty Fund, where he was Head of Disposition and Asset Management. He also previously served as a Senior Vice President for Jones Lang Wootton Realty Advisors, overseeing a $500 million portfolio of real estate assets, and as a real estate lending officer for Chemical Bank.
Jonathan holds a BA in Economics from Duke University, North Carolina and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is presently the Co-Chair of Project A.L.S., a member of the NYU Schack School of Real Estate Advisory Board, and on the Columbia University Medical Center Board of Advisors. He is also actively involved in a number of other charities.
