Jim has been advising C-suite executives and individual professionals for more than 25 years as a successful executive recruiter. JSH Advisors is an executive coaching practice created to help individuals achieve both transformational and behavioral goals. Jim works with clients in several areas including leadership/management development, strengthening communication/interpersonal skills and career transition, among others. With an earlier career in Human Capital and academic training in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Jim has the training and tools needed for a meaningful and successful coaching experience.

Jim co-established The Prince Houston Group in 2009, after serving as Co-Head of the Asset and Wealth Management Practice (Americas) at Russell Reynolds Associates (RRA). He originally joined RRA in 1988 as a Human Resources Associate and was recruited by Morgan Stanley in 1996 where he was a Principal and led the Human Resources function for the firm’s Investment Banking Division. Jim rejoined RRA in 1998 as a recruiter in the Asset and Wealth Management Practice. Earlier, he worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. and at Citicorp Investment Management, Inc.

In addition to Jim’s private coaching practice, he also serves as an Operating Partner for Investcorp’s Strategic Capital Group. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Psychology, graduating cum laude from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Purdue University. Jim has obtained the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) designation from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), is certified to administer and interpret the Hogan Leadership Forecast Series, and has served as a member of the Geneseo Foundation Board.
