Gaurav Sharma joined Investcorp in 2019 and currently serves as the Head of India Investment Business. He has over 28 years of experience in both the US and India, spanning entrepreneurship, private equity, M&A, corporate finance, and investment banking.

Previously, Gaurav co-founded Prime Gourmet Private Limited. Before that, he was the Director of Providence Equity Partners’ India office. He also worked as part of the investment banking teams at Deutsche Bank and Wachovia Capital in New York. Gaurav began his career as the Founder and CEO of Trinayana Auto, a manufacturer of auto components in India. His current and past board positions include roles at NuSummit (NSEIT), Canpac Trends, Global Dental Services, Safari, FreshToHome, Zolo Stays, NephroPlus, ASG Eye Hospitals, Intergrow, UFO Moviez, and MediAssist Healthcare.

Gaurav holds a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
