Ed Brandman was a partner and Chief Information Officer from 2007-2018 at KKR and had responsibility for global technology, data strategy and Operations supporting all firm-wide activities. While at KKR, he was a member of the Operations/Risk management committee and served on the Boards of Ipreo and Artivest. From 2006-2008, Ed served as Managing Director in the Financial Services Advisory group at PwC, where he focused on best-in-class technology strategies to support capital markets and trading activities for clients. From 2003 to 2006, he was a Managing Partner at OMT Partners, a consulting firm servicing the brokerage industry. From 2001- 2003, Ed was a co-founder and CEO of Renaissance Trading Technologies, a technology firm that developed trading software for Nasdaq market makers. Before founding RTT, he served as the Chief Information Officer, Head of Electronic Trading and Director of Operations of Robertson Stephens & Co. Prior to joining Robertson Stephens, Ed was responsible for equity trading technology at JP Morgan, where he helped launch FIX connectivity with institutional clients and designed the first touchpad-based trading platform. He began his career at JP Morgan in 1991. Ed was an early Member of the NASDAQ Advisory Board.

He received a B.A. from Rutgers College. Outside of work, he skis, builds Lionel train sets, is an amateur photographer and hikes in National Parks with his 3-year-old Belgian Malinois, Sadie.
