Barbara has over twenty years of experience working with Chief Executive Officers, entrepreneurs, founders, and CSuite executives in the financial services and alternative asset management investment sectors as a Chief Administrative Officer and Chief People Officer. In her last three executive leadership roles, she was recruited to develop, lead, professionalize, and implement the People and Culture strategy for the firm, each of which was experiencing tremendous growth, strategic diversification, and global expansion. While at Och-Ziff Capital Management, she was part of a team that led transformative change including Assets Under Management growth from $15 Billion to $50 Billion, going from a private to a publicly traded company, and headcount increasing from 200-600 employees globally. Barbara’s ability to effectively work with the Founder and his team to help lead and guide this complex organizational transition led to her promotion to the firm’s partnership (the first woman admitted in the fund’s history).

Barbara is an organization transition and executive coaching expert. Her specialty is working with executives who need a trusted advisor, as well as a practical, implementable strategy for managing and maximizing people and cultural resources. Barbara currently consults with C-Suite executives in the asset management, hedge fund, private equity, and cryptocurrency sectors bringing human resource (“HR”) solutions to entrepreneurial cultures that are scaling and evolving in complexity (going from adolescence to adulthood).

Her professional consulting expertise encompasses two main areas: individual executive leadership coaching and organization consulting/change management. In the first, she works one-to-one with executives to assess needs and goals and together develop an actionable plan for success. This work includes working with Boards of Directors, building and transitioning teams and organization structures, and managing challenging employee matters. In the second, she works with clients to develop a metric-driven HR strategy for talent sourcing and recruitment, employee onboarding, employee engagement, and communication processes, performance management and feedback, compensation and benefits, and data analytics for managing people’s decisions.

Barbara earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Le Moyne College, double majoring in English and French, and a Master’s of Arts in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, Teachers College. She is a certified executive coach through iCoach, New York. She has completed Executive Development Programs including Negotiation Skills at Harvard University, Business Essentials for Executives at the Wharton School Of Business and Women on Boards at Yale University.
