Dear Partners,
For nearly 40 years, Investcorp has succeeded because of our commitment to our people, our clients, our partners and our stakeholders. As we all continue to face the challenges of the coronavirus outbreak around the world, we wanted to keep you informed of how we are responding.
We have put into effect a crisis management plan to first and foremost protect the health and safety of our stakeholders. The plan also ensures business continuity to safeguard our investments through this turbulent period, while keeping an eye out for accretive opportunities. We are grateful that, so far, we have no confirmed cases of COVID-19 amongst any of our employees.
The Investcorp crisis management team has established an agile response protocol to the evolving situation, with taskforces led by senior management and expert advisers with representation from around the world. This team is discussing the situation on a daily, and in many instances, hourly basis, as we remain vigilant to the changing circumstances.
We have implemented certain changes to our business practices with the aim of reducing the impact on our day-to-day activities and our ability to service our clients. These include:
1) Adopting certain remote working flexibilities, allowing Investcorp employees around the world to work from home with the same connectivity as if they were in the office.
2) Working with our in-house risk management taskforce and our global network of advisors, we are continuously monitoring the various financial markets in which we operate. We are assessing the impact this may have on our business and individual underlying investments, in each case focusing on enhancing their resilience to the surrounding economic climate.
3) As you may know, one of Investcorp’s key priorities over the last several years has been a continued focus on fortifying our balance sheet. We are better positioned to navigate through these conditions and to take advantage of market dislocations. This focus remains in place with constant monitoring.
We remain committed to the safety of our clients, partners and employees, and are confident that the steps introduced will avoid any material disruption to the service you receive from your Investcorp partners and to our business generally. We will, however, provide updates as the situation evolves.
Investcorp has lived with you through many challenges over the last four decades and due to the quality and dedication of our people, it has risen to those challenges, has emerged stronger than before and has earned your trust. We will get through this together.
Yours sincerely,
Mohammed Alardhi
Executive Chairman
