James Hardymon joined Investcorp as an Advisory Director to the North American corporate investment team in 2002.

James is the former CEO of Textron, Inc. Previously, he was the President and CEO of Emerson Electric.  James is a seasoned manufacturing executive with over 40 years of experience across a variety of industries including aircraft, automotive and industrial. The companies led by James are legends for execution, operating performance, profitability and shareholder growth. During his tenure Emerson and Textron were very acquisitive, performing more than 50 acquisitions. 

James is a member of the Board of Directors of Air Products and Chemicals, Lexmark International, Circuit City Stores, American Standard and Schneider Electrics.
