Ammar Pharaon

Ammar Pharaon joined Investcorp in 2008 from Dresdner Kleinwort in London where he was Co-Head of  distribution for Equity, Rates and Credit structured products and liability solutions to Middle East institutional clients. Prior to this, Ammar worked at HSBC in fixed income institutional sales to Middle East Institutional clients. Before moving to London in 2002, Ammar worked for seven years at National Commercial Bank in Saudi Arabia as Portfolio Manager for the firm's fixed income and hedge fund portfolios. Ammar started his banking career at HypoVereins Bank in Munich, Germany.

Ammar holds a BSc in Economics and Finance from Bentley University, Massachusetts.


Ayman Arekat

Ayman Arekat
Principal, Bahrain

Ayman Arekat rejoined Investcorp in 2009 having previously spent six years with the company from 1994-2000.  In the intervening period, Ayman worked, most recently, at Unicorn Investment Bank as Head of Investment, Development and Distribution and prior to that, at Deutsche Bank as the director of Middle East area investment placement. 

Ayman holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Houston, Texas.


Babak Sultani

Babak Sultani

Babak Sultani joined Investcorp in 2008 from Addax Bank where he was vice president, corporate finance.  Prior to this, he worked with Bahrain Financial Harbour, ReeMoon BDC and Taib Bank.

Babak holds a BBA and an MSc, both in accounting and both from the University of Texas.

Fadi Haddad

Fadi Haddad
Vice President, Bahrain

Fadi Haddad joined Investcorp in 2008 from Prudential Asset Management Ltd in Dubai, where he worked for two years as an Associate Vice President focusing on institutional relationships in the Middle East. Prior to that, Fadi worked for The Arab Investment Company (TAIC) as a Manager of Loans and Facilities. He has also held positions with BMB Investment Bank and TAIB Bank.

Fadi holds an MBA from Lancaster University Management School in the UK (which he attended as a Chevening Scholar), and a BSc in Business Management from the University of Bahrain.


Fahad Murad

Fahad Murad
Principal, Bahrain

Fahad Murad joined Investcorp in 1996 from Chase Manhattan Bank, where he began his career in 1984.  Having completed the nine month Chase credit training program, he worked in the credit department and the corporate and institutional department as a marketing officer until he became Vice President in the corporate finance division of the bank.  In 1990, Fahad joined the Chase Manhattan Private Bank where he spent the remainder of his Chase career, most recently being based in Switzerland.

Fahad holds a BBA in Finance and an MBA from the University of Houston.

Harsh Shethia

Harsh Shethia

Harsh Shethia joined Investcorp in 2002 from Goldman Sachs where he spent two years managing enterprise technology division's European finance function. Prior to that, Harsh spent four years with Deloitte Consulting in their New York practice, specializing in financial process reengineering.  At Investcorp, Harsh worked in the Finance team and was co-head of the business analysis & reporting unit until late 2006 when he moved to work in the placement and relationship management team.

Harsh holds a BSc, summa cum laude, in Computer Science from Ramapo College of New Jersey and an MBA, with distinction, from Carnegie Mellon.


James Tanner

Head of Placement and Relationship Management

James Tanner joined Investcorp in 2008 from Morley Fund Management, the leading London-based investment house, now Aviva Investors, where he served on the firm's Executive Committee.  Previously, James was managing director, Global Markets at HSBC in London for three years.  James also spent 19 years at Morgan Stanley in London, New York and Hong Kong where his roles included serving as CEO of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Europe, and as Head of the International Private Client Group, Asia Pacific.

James holds an MBA from Indiana University Graduate School of Business and a BSc in Finance from Indiana University.  He is also a Fellow with the Securities & Investment Institute, UK and a member of the Institute of Directors.

Janick Fierens

Janick Fierens
Managing Director, Bahrain

Janick Fierens joined Investcorp in 2004 from McKinsey where he was an engagement manager serving Wholesale and Private banking clients.  Before McKinsey, Janick worked for Citigroup Private Bank in London.  He has also held positions with the Boston Consulting Group and Generale Bank, both in Brussels.

Janick holds an MA in philology from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) and a joint MBA from Columbia Business School and KUL, majoring in finance.


Khalid Al-Rumaihi

Khalid Al-Rumaihi
Managing Director, Bahrain

Before he joined Investcorp in 2001, Khalid Al-Rumaihi spent nine years at JPMorganChase, most recently as head of their private client group in the Gulf.  He also worked in the bank's Oil and Gas, Project Finance and Syndicated Finance groups in London, responsible for Middle East coverage.

Khalid currently serves on the boards of Gulf Air and the Securities & Investments Company.  He holds a BSc in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, Washington D.C., and an MA in Public Policy from Harvard University.

Khalil Sharif Al-Awadhi

Khalil Sharif Al-Awadhi
Principal, Bahrain

Khalil Sharif Al-Awadhi, who has 17 years of experience in investment banking and asset management, joined Investcorp in 2006 from Societe Generale Asset Management (Bahrain) where he was the Chief Executive Officer.  Prior to this, Khalil worked with BNP Paribas, Swiss Banking Corporation, Banque Indosuez and Kuwait Asia Bank.

Khalil holds an Executive Business Management Diploma from the University of Bahrain.


Khurram Mirza

Khurram Mirza
Principal, Bahrain

Khurram Mirza joined Investcorp in 2004 from Morley Fund Management where he was a Senior Quantitative Analyst focusing on risk management and portfolio construction.  Prior to Morley, Khurram worked for actuarial consultants Bacon & Woodrow (now Hewitt Associates) where he was part of their UK corporate pensions advisory group. Khurram also worked for investment consultants Sedgwick Noble Lowndes (now Mercer Investment Consulting) where his responsibilities included fund manager selection and research and asset/liability modeling for european pension funds.

Khurram holds a BSc in Actuarial Science and an MSc in Mathematical Trading & Finance, both from Cass Business School, City University (London).  Khurram is also a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (London).

Mazin Al Khatib

Mazin Al Khatib joined Investcorp in 2000 from the corporate finance team of Standard Chartered Bank in the UAE.  Before then, he held positions at Citibank in Dubai, National Bank of Fujairah in Abu Dhabi and Mashreq Bank in Dubai.

Mazin holds an MBA in Management from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas.


Mohamed Aamer

Mohamed Aamer

Mohamed Aamer joined Investcorp in 2009 from Gulf Finance House where he was an Executive Director in investment placement with responsibility for marketing the company's products and services in Riyadh.  Before that, Mohamed spent time at Kuwait Finance House and the Commercial Bank of Bahrain (formerly Grindlays Bahrain Bank).

Mohamed holds a BCom in marketing from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.

Mohammed AlSada joined Investcorp in 2008 from Gulf Finance House where he worked in the Investment Placement Team as a Principal responsible for institutional and private clients in Kuwait and Eastern Province Saudi Arabia. Before that, Mohammed spent time at Arab Banking Corporation.

Mohammed holds an MBA in Management of Operations Technology and a BSc in Finance and Business Management, both from Bentley College, Massachusetts.


Shrouoq Abualif Al Muhaid

Shrouoq Abualif Al Muhaid
Vice President, Bahrain

Shrooq Abualif Al Muhaid joined Investcorp in 2009 from Jadwa Investment in Saudi Arabia where whe was a senior relationship manager.  Prior to that, Shrooq worked for Gulf Finance House in the Saudi Arabian Investment Placement team.

Shrooq holds an MBA from University College of Bahrain and a BA in English Literature from Dammam College for Girls.

Tarek AlMahjoub

Tarek AlMahjoub joined Investcorp in 2008 from Standard Chartered Bank in Dubai, where he held the position of Director of client relationships.  Prior to that, he worked in Dubai as relationship manager in corporate banking at Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait.  He was also previously relationship manager in corporate banking at National Bank of Fujairah and account manager in the commercial banking group of MashreqBank, both of which were based in Dubai.

Tarek holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from the University of Garyounis in Libya and an MBA in International Management from the European University of Geneva in Switzerland.


Timothy Mattar

Timothy Mattar
Managing Director, Bahrain

Timothy Mattar joined Investcorp in 1995 from Banque Indosuez, where he spent five years in a variety of senior management positions in the Gulf.  Timothy previously worked for Arthur Andersen in Bahrain providing auditing and consulting services to the financial sector and before that in London with Grant Thorton Chartered Accountants, working with a wide variety of industries.

Timothy holds a BA (Hons) in History from London University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Yusef Al Yusef

Yusef joined Investcorp in October 2005 from Arcapita Bank, where he was Principal serving institutional and private clients in Kuwait and Qatar.  Before Arcapita, Yusef worked for Ahli United Bank and National Bank of Bahrain.  He has also held positions with Unilever in Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

Yusef holds a BSc in Accounting from the University of Bahrain.
