Investcorp's hedge funds business was established in 1996.  Investcorp is now one of the leading institutional investors in hedge funds with approximately $5 billion under management, of which approximately $900 million is proprietary investment.  Our fund of funds program aims, through a diversified portfolio of investments in hedge funds and managed accounts, to achieve attractive returns, on a risk-adjusted basis, over a medium-term period with a low correlation to traditional and other alternative asset classes.  The program offers clients a selection of funds of hedge funds with varying risk/return profiles.  These are invested across different strategies through more than 45 hedge fund managers.

With more than ten years of experience in managing hedge fund investments, Investcorp is an established and respected participant in the industry.  Our significant proprietary investment and a particularly strong commitment to risk management sets us apart from other fund-of-hedge-fund providers. 

Investcorp reinforced its credentials as an industry innovator in 2002 when it launched the world's first collateralized debt structure backed by hedge funds.

The fund of funds program complements private equity, real estate and venture capital investment by offering further diversification to clients who prefer a more liquid form of investment.

In addition, we are growing an emerging manager platform.  We currently offer seven emerging manager funds to clients on a joint venture basis, giving them access to new, upcoming managers with specific strategies.

The hedge funds team is made up of highly qualified professionals, including fund specialists and risk analysts.  They determine strategic asset allocations, select the best third party fund managers and monitor the performance of the various managers and investment strategies to ensure that the program's risk/return objectives are met.  To do this, they draw on sophisticated measures of risk and return, environmental and industry knowledge and portfolio stress testing.
